Racing's Finest Highlight Press Pass 2010 Showcase

While there are several levels of collectors in the world of trading cards, there’s pretty much one single reason people open packs -- to get some amazing trading cards. There are so many sports, genres and price points to collect. The rampant onslaught and devaluing of memorabilia cards caused a new level of trading cards to be created. It was designed to give collectors exactly what they wanted – almost. With a price point of $250 or higher, companies have found a way to get collectors to pay a premium price for quality, essentially the cream of the crop of collectibles. It began with Basketball, and trickled down to other sports. Press Pass who in my opinion is the most responsible when it comes to delivering memorabilia and autographs has entered that realm with 2010 Showcase Racing cards.

Wrangler Wrappers, Sheet Metal and On Card Autos Highlight 2010 Press Pass Stealth Racing

The headlines are plentiful for NASCAR fans with feuds between Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin getting the majority of the attention by news outlets. While those four wage a war of words, Busch and Harvick are battling for the top spot in the Sprint Cup series. In other NASCAR news – it’s been about 2 years since Dale Earnhardt Jr. won a race, but he’s still making headlines of his own. This time around, he’s paying homage to his father by forging a joint agreement with his current and former teams to drive a car detailed with his legendary dad’s #3 Wrangler paint scheme. Trading card manufacturers Press Pass have decided to pay homage to Earnhardt clan with their latest entry – Stealth.

Iconic Racing Memorabilia Will Debut in Upcoming Press Pass Showcase

Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt are two of the most popular and successful drivers in NASCAR history. Both dominated throughout their respective careers and won seven championships. It is fitting that both of them were inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in the inaugural class. Earnhardt and Petty also had iconic cars and paint schemes that they made as famous as their victory lane appearances. Anyone who sees the light blue STP car immediately associates it with Richard Petty and the black “Intimidator” Goodrich car was always associated with Dale Earnhardt. Press Pass was able to acquire pieces of both these iconic drivers and their equally iconic cars.
